“Jenny is amazing, she has a very chilled and calming energy.

Everything she did was spot on and her instincts perfect. Her work is so good I didn’t once question the make up or hair, which is a first.

I hope I have the pleasure of working with her again.”

Oscar and Bafta winning Director - Asif Kapadia

Jenny is a consummate professional, dedicated , supportive, inspiring , kind, and simply the best!

I’ve worked closely with Jenny on 4 projects that are all incredibly different but equally as tough. She has excelled and been such an asset not only for me but to the entire production. Jenny is indeed very adored and cherished by both the actors and crew and most importantly her team who I see thrive and feel supported and empowered by such a great boss.

I can only say anyone who gets to work with Jenny is incredibly fortunate for she is not only original and thoughtful in her approach to character , highly skilled in her technical abilities and production experience and capabilities but a true asset and supporter of any film / TV project she is part of.”

Bafta, Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominated Actor / Director - Samantha Morton

“Jenny is an unparalleled gem, not only does she obviously excel in her craft, but also creates an environment in her make-up trailer that is unlike anything I’ve experienced. A sanctuary for every actor, ensuring that they feel not only safe but also overwhelmingly nurtured before tackling the daunting demands of a film set. Her dedication to what she does elevates the entire production experience, leaving a lasting impression on all who have the privilege of working with her.”

Biography

Jenny grew up in Hertfordshire, with the UK’s largest film studios on her doorstep.

She lived in a creative household surrounded by film culture that significantly influenced her childhood. While studying design, Jenny became passionate about pursuing a creative career.

In the early 2000s, Jenny taught art at a summer camp in California.

Surrounded by redwood trees and close to the ocean, this job also fulfilled her love for nature and travel.

She worked in this position for many summers to help fund her progression in Film and TV.

In the United States, Jenny nurtured her skills in communication and leadership, inspiring her to become the inclusive and supportive department head she is today.

Hard work and determination paid off, securing Jenny a position at the world-renowned Guild Hall School of Music, where she honed her craft under the tutelage of legendary wig maker Irene Ramsey.

Jenny's talent and dedication led her to take over Irene's position as wig mistress when she retired, designing impressive and creative wigs for various opera productions.

Leaving the opera scene with a wealth of knowledge, Jenny moved forward to pursue her passion for the screen, graduating from Academy Award-winning Christine Blundell’s makeup academy. She quickly made her mark in the film industry, designing short films such as Keeping Up with the Joneses, directed by Michael Pearce and starring Maxine Peake, Geoff Bell, and Adeel Akhtar.

Jenny’s first TV credit was for the BBC period drama The Spanish Flu, a make-up artist to English actor Mark Gatiss -- Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Game of Thrones, working under Bafta and Emmy-winning Hair and Make-Up designer Erika Okvist. Impressed by Jenny’s talent, strong work ethic and unprecedented organisational skills, they began a long-standing work relationship; Jenny dedicated the next 15 years to perfecting her craft as Erika's Supervisor and 2nd, filming shows all over the globe.

Titles include 24 Live Another Day - FOX, The Rook - Starz, The Go-Between- BBC, Black Earth Rising - Netflix, Amazon Adventure - IMAX

Peter Kosminsky’s - The State and many more.

Determined to make time for her own design projects, Jenny's first film was The Guvnors, a football hooligan feature for Fullwell 73 and Netflix.

Jenny is also a design favourite to the world's leading immersive film events company - Secret Cinema, where she collaborated directors - Bazz Lurman, Ridley Scott and Danny Boyle’s visions with immersive creatives to bring cult classics to life, showcasing her talent for creating innovative, visionary environments for titles such as - Blade Runner, 28 Days Later & Moulin Rouge.

In 2021, Jenny supervised the Hair and makeup department for  Shondaland’s period drama Bridgerton, for which she won a Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Period and/or Character Hairstyling. This promoted a step up in Jenny's career, leading her to HOD season three of Tony McNamara’s satire comedy The Great, starring Elle Fanning and Nicolas Hoult - Hulu.

Other design credits include period drama The Serpent Queen starring award-winning and Oscar-nominated Samantha Morton - to whom she has gone on to multiple projects with since.

Jenny's latest work is an inspiring film from Academy Award and BAFTA-winning director Asif Kapadia. 2073 is a genre-bending thriller set in a dystopian future, tackling some of the biggest challenges facing humanity, due out in 2024.
